Warlock: how to PWN rogues after 3.0.2
OK , so with the new patch came new possibilities. my warlock being demonology had to go for Meta... so after an hour of testing out the new demonology i realised the meta form is simply a warlock version of the hunter's beast within.... sort of. well most averagely geared pvp locks have around 2k or more armor which becomes 12k with the meta buff, equal to plate armor... this seriously nerfs alot of physicall damage you take now remember this guide can apply to feral druids in some aspects but is more centered to taking down rogues.
so first, this only applies to meta demonology warlocks. first thng you should do when u know you are going to fight a rogue is position your felgaurd and make it stay in 1 spot, keep in range of it so the moment you get attacked he can intercept.. kinda think of him in that regard as a intercept totem. after u are sapped the rogue will attack and stunn, immediately as that rogue shows its ugly face the felguard will lock on and intercept, u should be able to run away after your stun wears off and thats the moment you should pop demonic empowerment as it it time to nuke down that rogue and make him/her regret she ever ganked a lock in his/her life. as soon as you finish casting demonic empowerment use metamorphosis and then the fight really begins... cast curse of the elements on the rogue, if you have time, corruption wouldent hurt either. then you should use immolation IMMEDIATELY! after that the rogue wil try to kill you quickly!! when the rogue comes in range use hellfire and keep it up, at this rate with hellfire ticking and immolation the rogue should be taking insanely high periodic damage and get smart, they will try to run but thats where u should use demon charge to stun him (at this time you shouldent have used your deathcoil yet unless in dire need) pop another corruption, you should leash your felgaurd back to its spot so it can intercept again and if the rogue isnt dead at this time (trust me they should be) u can finish it off with ur death coil and whatever you please, the 12k armor completely gimps their attacks and give you the complete advantage.
i only hope that blizz doesnt stop helffire from being cast while immolation is up because it completely ownz any melee class, warriors and paladins included, infact if you have a healer in 2v2 arena this would be a brilliant combo to take down any group.
