How to Pally
Ok this guide isn't going to be about spell rotations, gear sets, or even a set tree for that matter. This is going to be a guide on how to make the most out of what this class does best.
Soloing nonrunners!
#1 No downtime. A paladin has an advantage over most classes by having no downtime other than repairs and vendoring items, if used correctly. No matter what spec you choose you have the ability to damage multiple targets at the same time.
#2 Walking backwards. To keep as little downtime as possible try walking backwards toward your next target. Always try to keep 2 mobs hitting you and you hitting them also. If timed right after a little practice, you can keep 2 mobs on you at all times. when one dies you are picking up the next. Vary your seals and judgements between Seal of light judegement of light and seal of wisdom and judgement of wisdom. This should keep you full on mana and health.
#3 Great for grinding if that is your thing! any yellow con is a good candidate for this method.
Bad because it is very boring.
Soloing Runners:
#1 Again no down time but a little slower than nonrunners.
#2 Pull one, Judgement of Justice, and rely on white damage only. Only judge again if the buff will wear of before the mob dies, to keep maximum mana regen going. At the end of battle cast Holy light and repeat.
#3 Great for kill quests on orange/red mobs.
Bad for being slow, and again boring.
Solo aoe large groups. aka. the Irishmans pull because like and irishman you will drink alot then fight alot and drink alot and fight alot.
#1 Lots of downtime between pulls, but alot more fun with all the flashing numbers you will see.
#2 Find a group of melee, non runners. Mount up and gather as many as possible, Judgement of light and use seal of light, Consecrate everytime you can and let your shield eat as much damage as it can. when your target gets to 1/4 hp switch to another and repeat till they are all dead.
#3 Great for the ego and easy looting,
Bad for repair bills, and the drink of choice you will be purchasing.
Solo nonrunner afk style.
#1 Great when you have to do homework, have a book to read, or just want to level a weapon skill.
#2 Find a nonrunner that cons green to you. Equip your shield. Pull it and auto attack checking about every 2-3 minutes to loot, heal, or pull again.
#3 Great for multi taskers that still want to progress with thier character.
Bad for the downtime and don't even consider watching this, make sure you have more things to do while employing this method.
That wraps up my soloing methods. Stay tuned for grouping methods!
