As a self proclaimed poor leveler/grinder etc anything that requires hours on hours of the same activities for little overall gain I have come to a few things that at least help to trick my brain into enjoying the process (although I still do not

)
First off I am not against any necessary grinding or questing as it is all a process to teach people to play the game and with the retards abundant in every realm it is obvious that some form of training is good.
I am also sick of people wanting to water down the game and get phat lewts sooner. Without the poor there is no rich. And without the under geared people there are no over geared people. If everyone had full T6 because BT/Hyjal were a cake walk it would lose its value
Anyway to the point.
Questing has always been the superior way to level in time efficiency and with the nerfs and buffs blizz gave to what it takes to level it is even more important than ever.
The problem for many people is that they follow on a single quest chain (or two or three etc) and leave a majority of the quests behind to become trivial and useless.
The solution to this is just to not turn your quest in until every quest in your log is done (at least for a general area) This stops your from spiraling off and leaving quest behind. (obviously some quest are useless in the long run and are best left undone as they are a waste of time but this is up to use discretion on what is a waste of time)
I can assure you that if you did every quest in the game (not repeating similar leveled areas and wasting time of course) you would hit 70 without a hitch. (save for pvp realms) And really if you just focus on zones at a time you can clear a zone within a few days of casual play.
-Read the quest, not just to learn what to do but to envelope yourself in the lore-
I know that you are not on an rp server and didnt play any other blizz games and dont care about what some npc has to say, but many quest do have interesting story lines and even if you dont feel like you saved the world at least you fell like you accomplished something more than just not having to kill as many mobs.
These are just the things Ive come to find help someone who hates grinding as much as the next guy.
