[Guide/Advert] Play Lineage II For Free

Hello,

This is a Guide a For anybody that Doesn't Know how to to Be able to Obtain a Full copy of Lineage 2 and Play the Game for 100% Free and also contains the Information to connect to my Private Lineage 2 Server and How you could become an admin on this server and/or see the server setup and run how you see fit based on whatever suggestions you may have.

First of all if your Unfamiliar with the game check out this vid to get a Nice Idea of what the game looks like and the Nice Variety of Classes and Characters in the Game:

Download is about 1.5 GB so it may take a while but it only took me about 2 hours.

Once your download is finished install the game and launch it. Let the Launcher Go threw all of the patches until you can Hit "Start Game". Go ahead and Load the game to verify everything is working and then exit.

This will patch your Lineage 2 System Files to Connect to the Private server instead of the Officials and the ini contains the Changed IP. You will need to have winrar installed. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Register now...]

So first before you do anything Make sure you Backup your Lineage 2 System folder in case you want to Play on an Official server at some(changed your mind about the fees?) or if You decide to try other private servers or whatever reason just better to have it backed up. Default Path C:\Program Files\Lineage 2\System
After you have the System folder backed up go ahead and extract the Achive you downloaded into your System Folder. Hit yes to Overwrite the l2.ini with the new one from the archive. Now right Click on l2encdec_291.rar and Select Extract here. Go into the l2encdec_291 Folder and highlight all of the files inside and CUT\PASTE them directly into your System Folder. Go ahead and delete the now Empty l2encdec_291 Folder.
Now Run Patcher.exe and a CMD prompt will pop up. Wait for it finish, it may take a few minutes so be patient. Once it finishes exit it and your Now ready to Play.
To launch and Play the game use LoaderCT1.exe in your system Folder. Once you are loaded up into the Game at the Login screen Enter Your desired UserName and Password and Click login. Your Account will Automatically Be registered with the Server and You can continue to use from there on out.

If you have troubles connecting to the server Change the IP in your Hosts file to the server IP. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc Folder. Right Click on the Hosts file and Select Open File with and select Notepad. Where it says 127.0.0.1 LocalHost Replace with 71.197.162.229 and save the file.

There are many Private servers Out there to choose from as well this is Just my Own server. At this point the Server will have a 15x XP and Drop rate and Im open whatever other Suggestions anybody Has that would like to play on the server. Also next few people that contact me with any interest will have their account made into full GM status and remain as long as it is not abused.
